Congratulations to Bishop England sophomore Ella Kokinda, who came in first in the State High School Female Division for Archery on Friday, March 25. Ella scored a 283 out of a possible 300. She won a plaque, and a Mathew’s Genesis bow. The second best score was in the 260's. Over the weekend of May 14-15, Ella participated in the National Archery Tournament in Louisville, KY. Where she came in second place in the High School Female Division in the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP). Ella received a plaque, bow case, quiver, and arrows. She also placed third in the Scholarship Shoot Off for $1500 to the college of her choice. She shot a personal best of 292 out of 300,(The winner shot a 293). Overall, Ella is tied for third in the nation for all girls. She is the first shooter from South Carolina to place in the top three.
Erica Thomas, – The Oaks Christian School - middle school female division shot a 277/300 which placed her 66 in the division and 183 overall in the tournament.
